The Life and Death of Martin Luther King

Ein Theaterstück der American Drama Group im Amerikahaus

Am Donnerstag, den 14.11.2024 besuchten einige Schülerinnen und Schüler (und eine ehemalige Schülerin) des Englischkurses von Frau Leopold und der Leistungskurs Englisch von Frau Kestler gemeinsam das Theaterstück „The Life and Death of Martin Luther King“ im Amerikahaus in München.

Folgende Eindrücke hatten die Schülerinnen und Schüler:

“I really enjoyed the play about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. It was both fascinating and inspiring, especially due to the outstanding acting. The actor who portrayed Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his speeches so powerfully that I got goosebumps several times. An important aspect of the play was that it also depicted MLK’s flaws, such as his scandals and missteps. Overall, I loved watching it and even laughed a few times.” (Florian S., Q12)

“I liked the play because it was very well made, with great musical numbers and theatrical performances. The actors portrayed the time and historic events through language, clothing, and movement, providing valuable insight into this important period in American history.” (Sarah B., Q12)

“What an incredible night at the theatre! The play brought Martin Luther King’s story to life with genuine passion. The performances were outstanding, and the portrayal of King’s life was deeply moving. It left me feeling inspired and reminded of the ongoing relevance of the fight against discrimination. A thought-provoking and unforgettable experience—highly recommended!” (Valentin S., Q12)
